Research & Development:


CST is at present mainly focusing on two R&D projects:
1. Realization of PCBs by means of “ink-jet” printings.
2. Development of alternative and cost-effective base materials for very high frequency – very high speed applications.

N.P.I. Service:


Our N.P.I. Service (New Product Introduction) marks the CST attention towards all issues that can arise during the design and/or introduction phase of new printed circuit and it is basically focusing on the following points:
1. Design Data Completeness Verification
2. Design Rule Check (D.R.C.) and comparison with the Company capabilities a technical feasibility.
3. Definition of proactive proposals aiming to improve the production yield, as well as cost reduction opportunities, which shall take into consideration also the environmental impact (D.F.M.-D.F.C.-D.F.E.).
4. Prototype/pre-series realization in order to “fine-tune” possible residual critical aspects and verifying the production yield for the subsequent volume ramp-up.

The above mentioned N.P.I. Procedure will be usually activated for all new products under the following circumstances:
- “out-of-standard” complexity or quality requirement
- involvement of “new materials/new processes”
- significant production volume a very high cost pressure
